Sweet, bitter, definitely a bock, but almost maibock-like in strength and sweetness. Almost skirts the edge of syrupy-sweet but doesn't get there, thankfully. Pretty enjoyable.

Solid if unremarkable Bavarian hefe.

Light and refreshing, with a rather clear, effervescent bitterness .

Good maltiness, but not funky as some marzens are. More true balanced malt: roast and coffee. Clean finish as well, a bit of lingering bitterness.

Sweeter on the palate and at the finish. Just a hint of pils hops. A bit thick and undercarbonated.

Pretty good for a work beer. Wheaty American hefe flavor with dark malty flavors on top of it. Lactic finish, like a Euro dark lager. Would drink this again, no doubt.

Thin and flavorless - what I have come to expect from German lagers.

A fine refreshment for a summer's eve.
