From the brewer

Ravens in the Scottish Highlands were once thought to possess the gift of second sight, the ability to see future events before they occur. Second Sight is built around malted barley with hops playing a balancing role. This beer is ruby in color with large malt aromatics, delicious malt flavors and a full bodied finish.

Who's been drinking this

It’s been a good while since I’ve had this beer and the fact I’ve already had a grandfather raven means it’s hard to judge this impartially, but this is still very nice. Caramel, lightly plummy, thin but assertive. I think this lives up to my memory.
This tasted really alcoholic today.
Kind of middle of road as far as scotch ales go...
Very good mix of malty, roasty, smoked flavors. Fairly dry and bitter.
Bottle at Odin Lounge
Malty with a coffee and smoke flavor finish. Very heavy. Nicely done.
Bottle
Very strong cereal taste and quite bitter.
It tasted better without traitors.
I can't really characterize this. The scent is something fresh, perhaps since sort of flower? It's clean and balanced between malt and bitter. It had a solid taste without being thick. This actually reminds me of a claim jumpers red alethat they once served.
Very good scotch ale, but after a while the taste and smell reminded me more and more of ... lentils?!?
I wouldn't call it a "strong" scotch ale but it has a true to style sweetness that isn't overdone (as I find it often is)
Nice to see this on tap in more places.
Sweet cereal malt taste. A bit funky on the finish initially but after a few sips changes to an effervescent tanginess.
Nice sweet malt taste with a bit of a sharp acidic bite at the end. Yummy.
This is one of the better scotch ales I've had. The only scotch ale that trumps this for me is the Bourbon barreled scotch ale they serve at Black Raven's.
Good, as always. Slightly worse for the wear after a tuna sandwich.
Nice color, syrupy and wine-tasting.
Didn't work today, I think because the cask beer I had beforehand did something to my sense of taste.
Sweet smell, mild. Fizzy on tongue, and light caramel flavors. No extraneous sap, sweet, tang, or otherwise distracting flavors.
Much better without spicy food though is sweeter than I remember.
Growler tasting at Odin Lounge
Seems milder/thinner than before, but could also have been affected by moderately spicy food.
Exceptionally smooth and delicious.
