A surprisingly light-bodied stout with hints of chocolate and coffee. Despite being the same color as the dark side of the moon, this beer has a subtle and intricate mouth feel. The Black Bear XX Stout has won two medals at the Great American Beer Festival.

Leads with coffee, caramel on the palate, nice and smooth and not too bitter but a great clean finish.
Nice robust roast-coffee-like smell and flavor, without any of the usual sour or bitter yuckiness that usually creeps in. Solid all around.
Has smell qualities of a good coffee and has the clean roast taste of one. Does not linger more than it needs to.
