Light color then the others. I feel this one is more malty, strong molasses flavors. It's has a noticeable sourness, with fruity flavors. Pretty booze.

Still excellent! Good sweetness with rich caramel and molasses taste. The whole family loved it!
Bottle at Christmas Eve Party at Uncles
2014 release
Rich molasses barreled sweetness with coconut smoothness. Higher ABV comes out at the end.

Thank Michael! Really yummy ale, smooth from the aging and flavors that melded together really well. Vanilla, bourbon flavors and some malts behind. Full bodied but not heavy, and clean finish (not as thick as other aged beers).

The sweet bottle kind, not the hoppier draft kind today.

Two words: 12.5 abv. Is that two words? It doesn't matter if you're drinking one of these. In fact nothing really matters when you're drinking one of these.

Hoppier on draft, which somehow makes it more characterful but somewhat less drinkable.

A really pleasant surprise. This takes the normal DBA, which I thought was pleasant but not especially memorable, and kicks it up with a toffee, bourbony finish typical of these boxed Firestone Walker releases. Almost too sweet, but v. enjoyable nonetheless.

I actually like this less than I like regular DBA. Too sweet.

Smells sweet, effervescent. Pretty sweet on tongue and leaves mouth slightly syrupy. Has some bitter on the edge but finishes with a sweet malt. Has a nice toffee aftertaste.
