From the brewer

Brewed with 17 lbs. of yams per barrel (in other words, a lot of yams!), this autumn seasonal is a different take on the “pumpkin” beer style. Brewed with cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, vanilla, molasses, and maple syrup, and fermented with our traditional Belgian yeast strain, this bold and spicy beer is perfect on a cold autumn evening.

Who's been drinking this

Has quite a boozy smell. Sweet and a little sour. Weird mix of flavors.
Bottle at Xbeer One
Almost sour, thatch-and-molasses Belgian with some dankness from the pumpkin. This wasn't the all-around winner I remember back from my early beer days. But it's still overall on the positive end.
Bottle at Xbeer One
An appealing Belgian brown with nice spice, sweet vegetal yam flavor that almost masquerades as banana, and peppery sugar that dances on the tongue. The maple is just a hint of syrup the smell and a smokiness in the taste. A really nice substitute for pumpkin and definitely of the season.
Too spicy.
Fizzy, sour smell. Sour-ish taste. Maple taste on the inhale, effect like that of mint, like tasting a maple sheen afterwards.
Another one from two years ago. No details, but I remember liking this one very much at the time.
