Grassy, lightly sweet, somewhat buttery/tacky/metallic, it's been a while but I wouldn't be surprised if this was fairly similar to the Hofbräu Original Lager.
Not as good as Widmer's take on the same subject, but still ok. A lightly sweet, creamy porter with a roastier-than-expected finish. Lots of caramel in the flavor but wispy or nonexistent amounts of nut and coconut flavor. No cherry at all.
Introduced Roy to Skunk cabbage in the woods today. This beer tastes like that. Which either makes it interesting or unpleasant. Edit: decided I think like it. Reminds me of the swamp in a good way.
Part of a flight. Seems nice. Big and fragrant and citrusy, but maybe slightly on the syrupy side of things and a little too lingery on the finish for me.
Part of a flight. Smells a lot like a creamsicle and the flavor has that same citrus, milky flavor on top of the usual yeasty hefe base. First sip was fine but it became cloying -- and I didn't finish.
Part of a flight, and my favorite of the set. A very nicely malty amber lager. Definitely European in character but without a lot of grassiness. Clean and very pleasant to drink.
Part of a flight. Noticeable hoppy / grassy fragrance, but not unpleasant. Also coffee. Not usually my porter cup of tea but this was very clean and came together well. Bitter but not lingering finish.
