From the brewer

Bigger, bolder, and hoppier is what you get in Green Flash's Imperial Red Rye IPA. This is quite possibly the most amount of flavor that can be packed into a glass of red ale. Columbus hops set the stage for the newly available Mosaic hops (released in 2013) to shine through the rich crystal malt base and a touch of rye malt adds a spicy dryness to accentuate the hop character further.

Who's been drinking this

Pineapple/tropical fruit smell and a lesser bit on the palate. Malt gives it a gravity such that the fruitiness doesn't dominate. Finish is bitter.
Bottle at Den of Iniquity
Nicely fragrant, citrus-pine, with a clean, dry flavor going from husky grain to caramel to a peppery end, with good rye character throughout. Very little other bitterness in the finish.
Dry, peppery, nice lingering bitterness. Malt forward/mid.
