Apparently I had this seven years ago. The beer is the same, but the world has changed.

I mean, it's still good. But I tasted a lot on the soy sauce side today.

Roasted, light coffee notes. Finishes with a lactic smoothness / curl. Experience makes me bucket this in with Baltic porters or other black lagers in a general crowd.

Thinner than I remembered?

One of my go-to beers. Always makes me happy.

The label says "dark smooth ale" this pretty much sums it up.

Smells pleasant. Thickish mouthfeel but not sweet.

Dark, malty, caramel and smooth. I think this almost tastes better out of the bottle than on draft!

It came in a 22oz bottle, and was well-chilled. It reminded me of Guinness Stout, but was a little sweeter. I'd drink it again.
