From the brewer

Folklore and mythology present the raven as an omniscient creature with special powers and abilities. The Wisdom Seeker Double IPA gets its special powers from an enormous amount of hops and malted barley. Brewed in the West coast Double IPA style, this bold brew features massive citrus and herbal hop additions and a full hop aroma. Seek your wisdom cautiously; this hop feast packs a punch.

Who's been drinking this

Great hops smell and even better broad hops flavor, a green slightly resinous type. Complementary cereal body.
Bottle
Has a mild bitterness which is short lived for an IPA. Presents mild resinous flavors with some very faint citrus flavors near the end.
A really well done double IPA. No alcoholic taste at all, and the amount of malt barley used perfectly balances the hops. The hops shine through in center stage and are wonderfully flavorful, but there's no lingering bitterness.
Bottle at Home
Banana-like malty residue. Good hops spiciness.
Pleasant spicy bitter. Solid body of malt, cereal.
Oddly, it seems like the stronger IPAs are the ones that I've found the most balanced. Moderate bitter finish, yes; resinous, yes; and yet the sharp, tingly attack and refreshing follow-through make it much more consistently enjoyable than Black Raven's "lesser" pales.
