From the brewer

Bare Tree takes our original hefe weizen recipe and brews it to a higher strength. The traditional clove and banana notes give way to melon and Fleshy fruit, deep caramel and black pepper characters. “Within every bare tree lives the promise of new life.”

2013 release
Smells like a sour, but the taste is more a high gravity version of a Bavarian Hefeweizen - not strongly spiced, but definitely a sweet caramel banana flavor at the fore. A little bit bland, but decent.

like an non-sour sour
Bottle tasting at Work Network Outage
2013 release
A kind of bitter tartness with the banana buried deep in the aftertaste. Not very sweet out of the bottle.
Bottle at Home
2013 release
Banana is almost overpowering and clove is strong on its heels. Surprisingly bitter, though I wouldn't say it is bitter.
2008 release
Complaint to the management: there's a gap between "I'm pretty sure I'll buy this again" and "Yum". I'm clearly buying it again, I clearly like it. But is it at the top of the scale?
2008 release
Light, effervescent, hints of apricot.
