Yet another aspect of these spices, in this case there's a fruity-tartness that opens and subverts most of the perfumey overtones that this beer has suffered from in the past. What it does do is make it very cola-like, spice-forward; ginger, cinnamon?

Hilariously, when I ordered a Festivus they brought out another Splinters, and honestly I was too far gone to realize it, other than thinking they'd really improved the Festivus. When they corrected their mistake, yeah. Pretty perfumey.

Fantastic. Green hop and citrus smell. Great taste balance of hop pine, citrus tang, and malt sweetness.

Pretty much an IPA with nice citrusy resinous hops flavors with a mild bitterness.

Utter holiday ale perfection.

Started off nice, but got less good with every sip. A little more caramel than I remember last year, but still plenty of weird perfume.

Nice spiced smell, nutmeg warmth. Grapefruit-tangy body and finish with some hops providing a mild hoppy punch. But the sour tanginess middle persists and distracts from with a hop finish or the malt body.

Citrusy and pungent on the nose, with a heavy dose of some kind of potpourri spice. After some cranberry dryness there's a nice mellow malt finish. A little too weird to really love, it was still a nice glass.
