Gray skies are a regular part of life in Western Oregon. Overcast Espresso Stout is a dark, silky oatmeal stout that is rich, smooth and full of coffee flavor and aroma—quite nice on a gray or sunny day!

Maybe it was time and getting over that ancient bottle experiement, but this was a lot better than I was expecting. Smooth and easy, and creamy and not too bold on the coffee.
Somebody had to finally drink it. The aging process definitely helped this bottle. The coffee flavors are far more bold than I remember.
Sometimes you don’t drink for pleasure, sometimes you simply drink out of obligation…
Somehow this is more mellow and less sour to me today than previously. This may be an off-day.
