From the brewer

Irish Blessing is a dark Stout brewed with an abundance of black and chocolate malts for a bittersweet chocolate finish. We collaborated with our friends and local roasters at OZO Coffee in Boulder to determine the perfect roast to complement our stout, choosing their OZO Blend to use in the brew adding earthy, roasted coffee flavors to the beer. We then age Irish Blessing on Jameson Irish Whiskey soaked in oak, imparting the finishing touches of whiskey and wood. Slainte!

Who's been drinking this

Smooth start, smooth clean acidic finish. Not heavy. Roasted coffee flavor comes out after drinking along with oak flavor. The label and name had me concerned it was going to be gimmicky so unless this beer is using some food science trickery it's pretty legit. Also being from a can it lacks the metal twang of my last canned beer which is a nice bonus.
Can
This is weird. It looks dark with a stout head. But the flavor is like a solid red ale. It is very confusing to me. But I did like it.
A nice, smooth, mildly complex stout with some dry Irish sourness and good coffee flavor. Medium body. The oak smoothens this beer out very well, but I couldn't detect any whiskey presence at all (unfortunately). A good pairing with my corned beef leftovers!
