From the brewer

Our Pikop Andropov's Rushin' Imperial Stout is given even more complexity by aging it in oak whiskey barrels for at least six months. The addition of the charred oak influences, enhanced by subtle flavors of whiskey, make this darkly rich and complex ale well worth the wait. Keep an eye out for when it appears in limited draft and 22oz. bottles (usually winter) -- it goes very fast! You won't want to miss it.

Who's been drinking this

Good lord, this iPhone takes good photos.
Just too sweet for me tonight. Maybe they used Knob Creek bourbon barrels because I think that's too sweet too...
Smooth drinking with a great, well-integrated barrel flavor on the finish. Compares well with my memory of Schooner Exact's barrel-aged porter, with perhaps a little less caramel.
