Smells like a fragrant pale ale and starts with a peppery floral hop bite. There's just the faintest hint of pilsner funk before a sharp alcohol flavor takes over. I had been hoping for some more emphasis on the lager characteristics; but it tastes more like a good fresh hop pale.
