Sweetish, malty amber beer. I think we've established this is not how I prefer my Oktoberfest beers.

Unexpected American hops, meet European style.

Funkiness to smell. Sweet initial taste, continues. Good malt character.

Not what I was expecting...

An unusually sweet attack, with malty overtones. The alcohol flavor that follows is fairly sharp and vaporous with a frothy hop overtone, which didn't totally appeal to me. It was still an interesting, drinkable oddity.
