Easily the worst thing I had at Cider Summit. The smell was confusing, like almost metallic or… like plastic? The taste I was hoping for was an orange Julius creamsicle. What I got was regret.
Can at Lake Union Park, Seattle
A little too dry for me. The others in my group were wild about it.
Bottle at Lake Union Park, Seattle
I knew this was a bad idea when I got the pour and gave it a smell. Very spice-heavy taste. Ended up pouring it out after a few attempts to drink. Probably should have known by the name tbh.
Bottle at Lake Union Park, Seattle
This was Ruzzo Sparkling Citrus’ entry in the competition. It was a very sweet fruity flavor with a hint of vanilla aftertaste. It was hard to taste the alcohol at all and reminded me a bit of Mike’s Hard Strawberry Lemonade but with a vanilla note. Very good.
Bottle at Lake Union Park, Seattle
I don’t like apricots, but boy did it taste and smell exactly like an apricot.
Bottle at Lake Union Park, Seattle
I’m being a little more harsh than it deserves, because it was a really good sip but too strong in sweetness for wanting a full glass. Very strong sweet raspberry lemonade taste, but a little too much for me.
Bottle at Lake Union Park, Seattle
This didn’t stand out to me much, but it wasn’t offensive or bad. Kind of a solid, plain cider.
Bottle at Lake Union Park, Seattle
Very strong Cherry flavor, but short of cough syrup. This was Sister Cider’s entry into the competition.
Bottle at Lake Union Park, Seattle
12% - very strong flavor of Cherry cough syrup. I think I would have liked this more if it was diluted a bit. This was Schilling Cider’s entry into the competition.
Bottle at Lake Union Park, Seattle
9.1% - very sweet mango cider that also was super strong. Might be hard to drink a full glass due to strength, but taste was nice!
Bottle at Lake Union Park, Seattle
Tasted like a nice mix of apple and pear. Honestly tasted a lot more like a rose wine than cider, but without the dryness of wine. Very summery and refreshing.
Bottle at Lake Union Park, Seattle
Tasted like drinking tart saltwater. So salty - couldn't finish!
Draft at Malt & Vine, Redmond
Very sweet and homey apple cider - hardly any tartness at all! This reminded me of the baked apple pie cider, and I really enjoyed this one too.
Draft at Malt & Vine, Redmond
Just drinking this from the bottle watching my shows. Smells like pure honey water. Tastes so sweet like honey water. Kind of floral like honey water with a daisy petal in the cup.
Bottle at Home
I think this the Finnriver cider I had? Tart, slightly sweet, nothing out of the ordinary.
Bottle at Malt & Vine, Redmond
Smooth peach taste. Very good, but not super exciting.
Draft at Capitol Cider, Seattle
Last dessert cider in a flight of three. I kid you not, this cider smells like an obscene cat fart or a foot fungus. Like I hesitated to put the drink in my mouth because the same odor surrounds my cat's litter box. The taste was surprisingly fine - a little fruity and a little woody. The forest taste stuck around in my mouth. I had no idea this was 16% because it was so smooth!
Draft at Capitol Cider, Seattle
So this was labeled "Pommeau" on the menu and I assume this is the right cider? It was a very powerful scent - more of a musk really. Like honey whiskey. While the initial taste was honey whiskey, there was a sudden donkey punch to the throat. Maybe like if I choked on a whiskey soaked flower petal, because it was definitely a floral something. Second cider in flight of dessert ciders. Alex said "gross".
Draft at Capitol Cider, Seattle
So this ice cider had a super fresh and crisp smell, like a field of berries in a blizzard. The taste was super sweet like a baked apple pie with extra emphasis on the butter. Kinda jammy aftertaste? I felt like the flavor was sliding down my throat. This was the first in a flight of three dessert ciders.
Draft at Capitol Cider, Seattle
Really sweet, like fruit juice. No bite. Simple and tasty!
Draft at Capitol Cider, Seattle
Tart but not too tart. Very nice taste like a cheap rose wine (my fave, not an insult) with no icky wine aftertaste.
Draft at Malt & Vine, Redmond
Lighter grapefruit taste, but with a super smooth and sweet orangey finish. Tasted like a very sweet fruit juice with just a hint of tartness.
Draft at Capitol Cider, Seattle
For a beer (since I don't really drink beer) I thought this was amazing. Aftertaste of beer was icky, but this had a great dark chocolate and cherry/nutty taste. My bf thought it was too sweet to finish, but I thought it was a great flavor.
Draft at Brave Horse Tavern, Seattle
Super interesting! Very strong taste of honey and brown sugar with a tart finish.
Draft at Malt & Vine, Redmond
Drank like the whole bottle and it was a lot of cinnamon flavors, more so than from the growler I had in the past. Good but better on draft.
Bottle at Party
Tart, more like cranberry taste than Pomegranite but decent
Draft at Capitol Cider, Seattle
Tastes like LONLINESS since all my coworkers are workaholics!!!!!
Bottle at Lame Microsoft beer tent
Really great smell and taste, very refreshing and tart. Major drawback was I got a headache immediately upon drinking it.
Draft at Serious Pie & Biscuit, Seattle
Very flat fruit cider, no super exciting flavor here. A plain pomegranate fruit juice cocktail taste. A taste of liquid courage.
Draft at Bell + Whete, Seattle
Strong lemon and cranberry flavors - very tart! Not bad, but didn't blow me away either.
Draft at Malt & Vine, Redmond
All tieton ciders taste the same, which is kind of blah. Wah wah.
Draft at Malt & Vine, Redmond
Not super exciting. Kind of hard taste, not super pleasant but drinkable.
Bottle at Home
Spiced like the holidays! Very enjoyable when it's cold outside :)
Draft at Bellevue Brewing Company, Bellevue
Meh not bad, not as big of a pumpkin fan.
Draft at Bellevue Brewing Company, Bellevue
Like apple cider packets from childhood except cold and more cinnamon-y.
Bottle at Party
So this smelled really, really good like molasses and honey from my childhood back on the farm. I don't like beer so this tasted beery with a side of cough syrup mixed with molasses. Literally just want this to be a candle for me to smell.
Growler tasting at Odin Lounge
Not very sweet, but very light and you can taste the pear.
Draft at Malt & Vine, Redmond
It was good, but I think I was less impressed with it than the first time. Maybe I'm not ready for pumpkins until October...
Bottle at Home
Oops not everything actually tastes good after moving all day. Could not imagine what they were thinking. 10/10 would vomit again.
Bottle at New Home
Just finished moving. Anything would taste refreshing tbh.
Bottle at New Home
Had it at room temperature and it was not bad at all. Very safe, generic apple cider taste.
Bottle at Friend's house
Brogramming after this crisp 20oz chug
Draft at Malt & Vine, Redmond
I have been whale watching for six hours straight. This is the best thing ever. Much refreshing. So yum.
Bottle
Wouldn't exactly say I tasted the explosion of flavors promised on the label, but it was pleasant and refreshing.
Bottle at Home
I kind of forgot what it tasted like but it was good
Bottle at Friend's house
A stronger Southerner might enjoy this, but I am a big weenie and it was way too spicy!
Draft at Malt & Vine, Redmond
This was the only cider at Pale Ale Party Bus and it tasted like beer. Wah wah!
Draft at Pine Lake Ale House, Sammamish
Tasted like cranberry juice. Not super exciting, but nice and tasty.
I had four and maybe that was a lot. Not as good as the pear, but surprisingly good!
Bottle at Beer Pong
For Michael I am obliged to log this. On Saturday I went to a classy formal gathering for young adults atop a beautifully decorated rooftop deck. The occasion was a friendly sporting match between my neighbor's turd friends and I. The contents of the pbr were handed to me after a friendly spar with another athlete competing for the grand prize. I spit up the pbr, very gracefully like a majestic swan, all over my beer pong partner when forced to drink the loser's cup. This was less embarrassing than losing at beer pong to a turd, but a punishment I had to endure all the same.
Can at Beer pong
I don't actually like beer aftertaste so maybe this was a given...but I liked the fruitiness before it got icky
Bottle tasting at Odin Lounge
Not bad, enjoyable, but not anything out of the ordinary as far as ciders go.
Bottle at Malt & Vine, Redmond
Smells AMAZING. Oh my gosh. Taste has a hint of spice, not bad at all
Draft at Malt & Vine, Redmond
Good opening taste, bad aftertaste immediately. Uncomfortable smell.
Draft at Malt & Vine, Redmond
Bull Run Powerhouse Dry Cider (unknown release)
Nothing out of the norm.
Draft at Malt & Vine, Redmond
Safe non exciting choice, like cranberry juice. Probably would only get this as a last option.
Bottle at Tipsy Cow Burger Bar, Redmond
Really strange peach flavor with a strong woody aftertaste. Gotta love podunk Texan bars!
Bottle at The Barber Shop, Dripping Springs
The after taste is killing me. The website said I should be pairing this with fine cheeses. I hate cheese.
Draft at Malt & Vine, Redmond
Kinda funky... Exactly what I should have expected from apricots
Draft at Malt & Vine, Redmond
Pretty strong. Either that or I am a baby.
Draft at Malt & Vine, Redmond
I thought I ordered peach cider
Draft at Bellevue Brewing Company, Bellevue
In the words of the bartender, "It's rather dry."
Draft at Malt & Vine, Redmond
Strong cherry flavor. Initially good... too strong of an after-taste.
Draft at Malt & Vine, Redmond
