This beer has three distinct phases. Very fruity attack, both from the barrel and the guava. Then I can clearly taste the tea which lingers until the end as a not unpleasant bitterness sets in. The finish ends up being quite dry.
Slightly too astringent and acid to my taste. That being said, the beer was showing a pretty complex mix of fruity flavors while still presenting very dry finish. Could not easily identify the effects of aging in wine barrels without having tried the regular edition of this beer.
