Sweet, super vanilla-cream-esque ale with just a touch of hop dankness at the beginning to keep it honest. Otherwise, the vanilla is a little bit over the top, making this feel very much like a gimmick. Still, it's a fairly tasty gimmick.
A good American IPA. The label reads "...could it be the madman of an IPA that reeks of NZ Nelson hops and leaves a lingering bitterness that is sure to ruin any beer consumer after it?" in reference to this beer. That's a bit much - this is no Palate Wrecker. Still, it has a nice hop bouquet, leaning towards fruity and not overly resinous with a nice bitterness on the finish. Very easy to drink.
