Lightly spiced smells. Ephemeral sweetness comes then goes leaving a good malt and spiced taste. No overwhelming pumpkin or sweet unpleasantness.

Smells distinctly candy-like, like a Tootsie Roll with a faint whiff of anise, but it doesn't really translate to the flavor, which is dense and caramel with a drying finish. I don't know if this is really to the style -- no hint of Belgian spice at all -- but it was yummy.

I'm not sure I taste any rye, but I really like the malty-chewy finish on this beer. Makes me think of an amped-up Fat Tire.

Has a pleasant mild-spicy which I think is the rye. A bit sweet and has some additional thickness/tackiness.

Spicy, malty with a bit of tartness at the end.

Good aroma, well rounded sweetness with a dry peppery finish.

Dry homebrewed IPA with a nice rye-like kick, although I have no idea if rye malts were used at all. Not syrupy in the least. Somewhat bitter all the way through, but not in a lingering way.
