From the brewer

Introducing Anderson School's first Imperial-style ale! Badlands is the big brother to our Gypsy Road Session India Red Ale.
Boasting a complex malt bill, and a ton of Simcoe, this beer brings it in the flavor category. Aged for two weeks
in first-use Bourbon barrels and blended to taste, oak and bourbon notes blend nicely with spicy rye flavors and piney hops.

Who's been drinking this

The description says this was aged in bourbon barrels, but I can't say I tasted it (two weeks is short, though). A fruity-malty-sweet amber ale, definitely stronger than it tastes. Pleasant but not really my style.
Pleasantly hoppy, nice afternoon drink
