Ok so the problem here is that i want a stout to be smooth and dark and roasty and woody. Brooding if you will. The addition of fruit while innovative just seems too different, it changes the character, the whole point, of a stout.

The cherry is just a subtle modulation of the stouty character of this beer .It ends up tasting sweeter, but still with a roasty stoutish flavor. But honestly, a stout purist would not like this. As I get further down the glass, I'm getting more of this sour cherry taste that does not go as well with a stout .
