From the brewer
A collaboration with Chef Brian Scheehser of the Heathman Hotel in Kirkland, WA. Our Fool’s Golden Ale aged in Pinot Noir barrels with 40 pounds of blackberries and 1/2 a pound of thyme, all grown at Chef Brian’s farm, for 2 months. Thyme and oak are strong in the aroma with a fruity flavor finishing slightly tart.

2013 release
Dry berry tartness and faint herbal notes on top of a light ale with a sweetish malt profile. I liked this a lot, but had to drink it in a hurry. Really friendly atmosphere at the Sidebar, though! I'll have to go back.
