Other notes

We may not toil in the field all day as did the Belgian farmworkers who originally drank this style, but our thirst for a light, crisp beer on warm Summer days is just as strong. When Michael Jackson published “The Seasonal Search for the Phantom of Brewing” in 1991 this style was on the brink of extinction. It has since been revived and quickly become a favorite across the world. The pale golden color and puffy white head promises refreshment after a long day, and the dry balance of pils malt and the distinct Saison fermentation pairs better with food than anything else in a glass. Like the Belgian farmhands who first favored this style, we prefer to drink seasonal varieties as the year progresses. This beer will be available year round in several evolving variations.

Who's been drinking this

Slightly funky-tart saison with a lot of vibrant hop flavor on top. Lemony with a touch of pine, it was viscous and almost fresh-hop-like. Still, a touch more on the IPA side than I want when ordering a saison.
Hum, I find it hard to describe this beer properly. It has a very upfront hoppyness, with subtle hints of citrus. The aftertaste reminds me strongly of cereals (wet cereals?, rye?). Also has some funkyness/tang that I can't seem to put a flavor on.
