Our newest blended strong ale, Winter Wookey, comes just in time for the California winter this year. A blend of Wookey Jack and un-oaked Double DBA, Winter Wookey brings dark chocolate covered dried cherry, candied apple, orange zest and toffee flabors together in a complex, warming blend. Deceivingly drinable for its size, Winter Wookey balances a big, malty body with a complementary spectrum of hop aroma and bitterness.

Sour prune start on tongue, candy middle like those sweet tart candies, cola-like finish.
More Wookey Jack in the mix than I expected, with some real caramel and hop presence, but all in the service of a well-rounded, tasty beer. I don't know if I could drink a lot of it, but I certainly relished the taster glass.
