From the brewer

Project Opus is our collection of aged sour beers. Tangent has a slight sweetness that adds body and works well with the oak and tartness, there are no over the top flavors and it finishes with a surprising dryness that cleans off the pallet nicely. Tangent is refreshing to enjoy as the season starts to change or hold onto for a special occasion.

Who's been drinking this

Darker than I remember .Though being forever different seems right on .
Bottle at A Friend's
Bottle at Home
Scent seems slightly smoky. Taste is sour with a base I want to liken to a brown ale.
Bottle at Home
And the variability continues. Only maybe the slightest of hints of sour. Not as bitter as the bad one. very little of fruit or of carbonation. Basically, when you buy a bottle, you gotta ask yourself, do you feel lucky punk?
Bottle at Home
This bottle was much more like what I got on-tap. It retained a tiny bit of carbonation and the sour note. I think my biggest concern at this point is the variability.
Bottle at Home
Flat, bitter, with none of the sour that was key when I had it at the Tap House. I'm not sure if the batches are really variable, or if it doesn't age well in a bottle.
Bottle at Family
Incredibly drinkable. Fruity, a good balance between wine vs. vinegar flavor with a fruity finish reminiscent of prune.
