Naked City’s official 5th Anniversary Beer, the Big Lebrewski is also our most award-winning concoction. Billed as a “White Russian Imperial Stout”, this beer starts out as an Imperial Cream Stout made with healthy amounts of dark malts and a dose of Lactose. After primary fermentation, Big Lebrewski is racked onto Medium Toast French Oak and aged for several weeks. The resulting beer is rich and complex with notes of chocolate and coffee. It’s the beer for its time and place.

7th Anniversary release
What I wrote for the last release still holds true. Good flavors but sabotaged a bit by too much woody dryness.
5th Anniversary release
It starts sweet, like a creamy milk stout with some hints of coffee, followed by a mellow, delicious oak smoothness. Then the wood just keeps building into a sharp, bitter, ashtray-like big rock ending. I do think If they'd oaked it a little less, it would have been great.
5th Anniversary release
Sharp bitterness with some tacky mouthfeel. Moderate wood flavor. Finish reminds me of a grainy dark chocolate.
