From the brewer

Due to hop availability, Hop Centric is only released once a year. Dry hopped with a pound of hops per barrel, Hop Centric has a very strong aroma of pine and citrus. This hefty beer is balanced at the start with some nice caramel and brown sugar notes. It has a massive hop flavor and bitterness with some complex fruity characters.

Who's been drinking this

Hoppy, caramel, interesting.
This one was actually simple and uninspiring. Roy says that for some of their beers they use different hops in different batches and that he thinks that this might be one. So perhaps that accounts for the variance.
This is actually a masterful example of a type of beer I'm just not that fond of. It is complex and almost tastes juicy. Hop juicy. I just don't tend to pay for bitter. Which I suppose is a shame for me.
