So, beeradvocate lists this as a Euro Pale Lager .Our bartender said it was some sort of mix and something like a blue moon. Seemed almost like a mix of beer and orange juice .It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great .I might rather just have a blue moon
Actually, I've been having this a lot, and have come to enjoy it as a reasonable heavy-beer option .It's musty and thick and goes well with heavy pub grub .
I really haven't gotten any of that soda-like quality I found last year.
Tart and grapefruity, which is not at all what I expect from a hefeweizen. Gets kind of brackish as I work my way down .
Roy says it's Lacking in character as well.
This is fine .A little thin, like one of those European darks. Almost sodaish. There is a hint of cherry, even a hint of stout. But it doesn't really seem like the label .
Smooth, almost syrupy, with the flavor of smoke on the back of the tongue. It strikes me as a combination of a stout and a soda.
And I'm afraid I'm not a big fan of soda-like beers.
Not much in the way of scent. Starts out with the citrus character of an IPA, but none of the bitterness. Then on a long slow burn, the bitterness becomes apparent, well after you've put down the glass.
