Bright and bitter. Normally it’d probably be too much for me but I think after the sour Helles this was nice.

Weirdly candy-like in its fruitiness? It reminds me a bit of those soft-center hard strawberry candies in the white wrappers. Somewhat insipid finish. I might be more in the mood for this except this doesn't feel intentional? (Note: this was absolutely marked as Hans Gruber on the tap but maybe this was actually the Strawberry Golden Ale?)

Amber lager with a significant caramel backbone and aftertaste. Behind all that, a light grassy bitterness provides contrast. It's a very clean and light after the stouts.

Smells like strawberry jam. It doesn't 100% meld into the stout, which is robust and roasty. Note: if you mix this 50-50 with the Mrs. Voorhees it's pretty good.

Decent peanut butter fragrance and flavor; just a bit sweeter than I'd prefer and there's some abrasiveness to the finish. It's fine though.

Feels very different from my last log; this is thicker, blacker, more assertive. Still lots of caramel with some fudge notes poking through.

Thin mouthfeel, very light caramel, an overtone of bitter spice (anise?). Coffee is light, like a cold brew.

The basic flavors are good, but it's maybe a little too simple-sweet. These same flavors with some more complexity would be pretty killer, though.
