German roggenbier (rye beer), meets American wheat beer, meets Norwegian farmhouse ale = someone we have never met before. This beer starts out with pilsner and triticale (wheat/rye hybrid) malt from Skagit Valley Malting in Burlington, then we add some classic American hops, and finally ferment with a Norwegian kveik yeast strain. The resulting beer is light and refreshing, with a great mix of citrus from the yeast and hops, and spice from the triticale. Easy drinking like a light American wheat beer but with plenty of flavor and character.
