Our acclaimed Trees of Doom Dunkel took a voyage in bourbon and rum casks and returned a changed beer! The malty backbone of the base beer takes a backseat to the Brett driven flavors and aromas of cherry, pear, and raspberry. The spirit casks impart subtle flavors of vanilla and rum that pair perfectly with the beers light, dry finish.

Plummy, sour funk. Brown sugar and light clove notes. Reminds me of something that's trying to get to a Flanders sour but kind of peters out into an off fruit flavor rather than something truly complex. Disappointing - hope the Planete Bruin bottle I got does this better.
