The Ruffled Feathers is a hybrid of the IPA and brown ale styles, this hoppy brown ale is a favorite of the brewer. The beer has roasty notes with a chocolate and caramel malt sweetness and a significant hop aroma from the Columbus hops.

"Hoppy American Brown Ale" I think is code for Brown Ale mixed with an IPA. Because that's what it tastes like. A smooth, almost stoutish front, followed by the flavor of Mild pine-IPA. It's certainly interesting.
