From the brewer

After months of sparse emails, wild ideas and a couple of flights we were able to brew a beer with Stone Brewing's small batch manager Steve Gonzales in April of 2014. He and Beaux decided on a Saison style aged in both red and white wine barrels (both French and American oak) with sumo mandarins and acacia chips added in secondary. The result shows each brewer's affinity for complex, oaked beers utilizing specialty ingredients that stray from the beaten path. MADE ONLY ONCE AND RELEASED ON SEPTEMBER 15th, 2014

Who's been drinking this

A light-bodied dry saison, with an unmistakable wildness that shows up in just-enough amounts of tart and funky. Slightly watery middle which fades into a clean, buttery, toasty-wood finish. Pretzel-like, I think, would work as a description.
