It’s about time that Pike Brewing’s mascot, Boston Terrier Derby, had a beer named for her. Like Derby herself, this beer is soft and gentle, and of course, pure bred! It is a light, lager-style beer brewed using San Francisco Steam (California Common) lager yeast that ferments at 65 degrees. Sorachi Ace hops of Japanese origin flavor this brew along with a small portion of flaked brown rice to create its lovely, light mouthfeel.

Not the best lager, this still has some good hints of wheat and barley in it. Slight tin finish on it however.
I really liked this. Faintly sweet, with kind of a corn flavor and a slight tanginess that offsets it nicely. Touch of spice & a barely bitter finish. Refreshing and tasty!
