The Kolsch is a refreshing golden-hued beer, moderate in alcohol, refreshing and sessionable. Brewed with an ale yeast, but fermented closer to lager temperatures, this beer is smooth and mellow.

For a kolsch, this seems to emphasize bitterness and not emphasize the cold clarity I associate with the type. It might also be a but watery, though masked by the bitterness.
