The hardest part about making new and exciting hoppy beers is sourcing the hops you need. Most hops are bought under contracts which are signed two or three years in advance. We occasionally get opportunities to acquire small quantities of specialty hops that are enough for one batch of beer, but no more. This beer allows us to feature hops that we would otherwise not be able to make use of.

Fresh, fragrant citrus nose, a lot like some recent Session IPAs I've had, but the flavor is more high-and-dry with very little actual flavor. It's not watery, just kind of ... missing something. And I know this isn't an IPA, but it doesn't exactly scream "lager," either.
