Mad Viking Cognac Barrel Night Raid Imperial Stout

Vital Statistics

From the brewer

What you have here is quite rare and special. We take 1-year old Imperial Stout, age it in Cognac Barrels, and this two we blend in a very rich ratio of 1:2 with this year’s Imperial Stout. Rich powerful vanilla and sweet grape notes come through in waves, complimented by subtle cognac esters and supported by the big roasty malt backbone of the base stout. This beer can be enjoyed now or cellared for many years to come.

Big Wood Festival. More cognac than stout, very muscat-fruity, with just a touch of stout robustness at the end. I liked it, but it's really confusing.
