From the brewer

In the early days, the beer consumed during Oktoberfest was the rich, copper-colored lager known as Marzen. But in recent years, the official Oktoberfest lager has morphed into a lighter, golden lager with a moderate malty sweetness and a clean, balancing bitterness. Chuckanut Oktoberfest emphasizes the use of Vienna malts for a smooth, quaffable fest beer. This medium-bodied beer finishes crisp.

A really tasty beer, definitely more of a richly-flavored Helles lager than a marzen. Pours clear and gold.
