Quintessence is a take on a breakfast stout with the Candy Caps giving the beer a delicious maple quality and the Vertigo Coffee imparting a delicious roasty component. The addition of toasted almonds giving it a biscotti edge and the Grade A Madagascar Vanilla Beans tying all of the flavors together. It's a big beer, weighing in at 12.7% but has a great balance and drinkability.

Smoky, sweet with a burnt sugar/campfire 'smore quality. Based on my memory of the Breakside Oligarch variant, that's the candy cap, with some umami. Coffee and vanilla follow. Normally I'd class this as too sweet but the flavors are so interesting!
