This edition is loosely inspired by the stouts of the Caribbean. Tropical stouts pair crystal malt and an expressive English ale yeast with the dark roasted malts to bring out a dark fruit character in the beer. Our version takes this concept and builds a bigger version, which at nearly 10% ABV pushes it into imperial stout territory.

Very roasty, sweet, medium mouthfeel. The bitterness builds up pretty fast but there’s a lot to like here. It is in no way smooth though.
