In some circles, the Charlatan claims to be an American Pale Ale. While in other circles, folks swear that the Charlatan is part English. Others feel that the Charlatan has a Midwest-born character all his own. Whatever the Charlatan is, he’s an easy drinking pale ale. Generously hopped with Simcoe® and “C” hops, you might catch the Charlatan putting forth fresh citrus and tropical flavors (mango, passion fruit, grapefruit). You might also pick up some earthy pine notes. The Charlatan’s low co-humulone hops provide a smooth bitterness that balances its round malt backbone.
