Created by Greg Noonan, this beer style is a new interpretation of an India Pale Ale with some of the characteristics of a Porter. It is distinct from an IPA through the use of roasted malts which gives the beer its black colour. The beer displays the sharp and dominant bitterness of an IPA combined with toasty dark malt flavours.
