From the brewer
The brain child of local homebrewer Kyle Manns, we liked his version of this beer so much we decided to brew it as our Pro-Am entry for the 2009 Great American Beer Festival. At base a 9.5% ABV Belgian strong pale ale, cardomom, ginger, juniper berries, and coriander are added to the party, along with fresh lemon, orange, grapefruit and tangerine zests. After fermentation, the already complex concoction was aged on oak cubes to add one more layer of flavor. But words don't do it justice; this beer truly has to be tasted to be understood.
