This beer is comparable with the beer aged in the Armagnac barrels, however the aroma is much more subtle. You can experience a mild alcoholic aroma, with a balanced flavour of vanilla, coming from the wood, and a fresh fruitiness reminiscent of apricot. Tasting this will give you a velvety taste, the honey like sweetness masks the degree of alcohol. The aftertaste is dominated by almond so the comparison with Amaretto isn't far away.
