From the brewer
Traditional German Bocks were originally brewed in the town of Einbeck, which, over the course of several generations, evolved and lended its name to the beer itself, Ein Bock (transaltion--a billy goat). To this day, goats often appear on the labels of these beers. Due to their high gravity and caloric content, bocks are historically consumed my German monks during Springtime months to get them through long periods of fasting. Brevard Brewing Company's bock is brown in color, full bodied, high in alcohol content, lightly hopped, and extremely malty. Enjoy.
