Brown ales tend to emphasize maltiness over hoppiness, and Old Town is a beer that's driven by its malt character. In crafting its flavor profile, we use seven malts and only one hop, so the taste is driven by that full malt structure. The hops are there only to balance the sweetness of the malt; there is no bitterness.
